Volunteers
Volunteers are defined as individuals (including interns involved in an undergraduate or graduate program in social work or related field) or groups who render services while having no legal concern or interest.
Good Hearts welcomes volunteers who are willing to assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, training set-up, parties, mailings, fundraising, etc.
Good Hearts requires volunteers to be at least 18 years of age. Good Hearts will not use volunteers referred for community services through the courts as an alternative to incarceration or as a condition of probation.
Volunteers are required to attend Good Hearts’ Orientation meeting. A clear TB test and criminal background/central registry checks are additional requirements before volunteers can have contact with children. Ongoing supervision and training will be provided by the Executive Director.
